ADOPT-A-BOOK PROGRAM – BOOKS WANTED
The The Tennessee Genealogy Society is always eager to expand our Library. You can help. The list below contains publications our Librarians have selected for a special effort in acquiring. If you would like to "adopt" one of these books, the book will be placed on the shelf with a faceplate showing your name as the donor. You may also use this opportunity to donate a book in someone else's name. Do you have a special relative that you want to honor? Has someone given you exceptional help in your research? This is a great way to recognize those special people.
TNGS is a federally recognized nonprofit, tax exempt, educational organization, and as such contributions are tax deductible within the IRS guidelines. Your gift will be acknowledged by mail and will include the TNGS tax number. Labels, recognizing you as the donor, will be fixed to books purchased with your gifts. If someone has already adopted the book that you want, then our acquisitions committee will purchase another book of equal or greater value and notify you of the change.
