Afterwards Carol Perel, the Executive Director of the West Tennessee Historical Society will speak.  Carol is a lifelong Memphian, graduating from Overton High and is a graduate of the University of Memphis. She owned and managed the Arcade Restaurant on South Main.  She is the widow of Philip Perel, Jr, whose family owned Perel & Lowenstein’s Jewelry and her father in law served on Memphis’ first city council when established in 1967. She has grown up surrounded by Memphis history!
