LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES
BY NANCY WALCZYK
Genealogy presentations are full of tips, reminders to “do this, don’t do that.” But I have found I learn best through case studies and examples. In this presentation, I’ll share mistakes I’ve made researching my own family tree, why that likely happened, and what I could have done differently.
Nancy Walczyk is currently the editor for the TNGS quarterly Ansearchin' News. Prior to that she was the TNGS Director of Research for seven years. Nancy is a frequent speaker for the Society. You can find her presentations on our website. Past topics have included Tennessee Research, Creating a Locality Guide, City Directories and Research Logs. She also lectures during the bi-annual Genealogy 101 series-the Genealogy Tips and Techniques Class and the Source Citations class. Nancy enjoys helping people with their genealogy and has been researching her own family history for over 25 years. But sadly, she has no Tennessee ancestors.
Access will be through GoToWebinar. Instructions and Connectivity Link will be forwarded via email to all registrants upon registration, six days prior and again 1 hour prior to the event. Making the connection is quick and easy only requiring a computer and Internet connectivity from wherever you chose to watch the event. Your questions help drive the meetings, and we will be there to help each other.
